Salperton IV: LAtest success of a proven team

June 2009

Testament to the award winning success of Salperton III, the European owner again engaged Fitzroy Yachts for the creation of his next luxury sailing yacht. Salperton IV has just been handed over in New Zealand to her owner, Mr Barry Houghton. Like her predecessor, the 45 metre sloop has interior design by Adam Lay Studio and naval architecture by Dubois.

Salperton III collected two Best Sailing Yacht awards: having experience and a proven concept allowed the owner and build team to focus this time on detailed refinements. Salperton IV is built for even better sailing performance as well as sleek aesthetics. She is also capable long range cruising. She has an owners’ cabin and three guests’ cabins aft, one of which converts to a gym, while 3 more forward accommodate the six crew.

Fitzroy has a well recognized commitment to quality. This is evident in the carefully crafted negative detail of the attractive walnut cabinetry that is a feature throughout. Other impressive details include custom treatment on imported door latches and light switches. A clean contemporary atmosphere and high functionality was achieved everywhere aboard.
