Testament to the award winning success of Salperton III, the European owner again engaged Fitzroy Yachts for the creation of his next luxury sailing yacht launched in 2009. Like her predecessor, the 45 metre sloop has interior design by Adam Lay Studio and naval architecture by Dubois.
Salperton III collected two Best Sailing Yacht awards: having experience and a proven concept allowed the owner and build team to focus this time on detailed refinements. Salperton IV is built for even better sailing performance as well as sleek aesthetics. She is also capable of long range cruising. She has an owners’ cabin and three guest cabins aft, one of which converts to a gym, while three more forward accommodate the six crew.
Fitzroy has a well recognized commitment to quality. This is evident in the carefully crafted negative detail of the attractive walnut cabinetry that is a feature throughout. Other impressive details include custom treatment on imported door latches and light switches. A clean contemporary atmosphere and high functionality were achieved everywhere aboard.
The design and impeccable workmanship throughout comes together to create a
beautiful yacht that is practical, spacious and light. Great effort is required to create the kind of elegance and functionality found in every inch of S/Y Salperton. With commissioning completed the new Salperton IV was handed over to her owner and departed New Zealand for a three month Pacific cruise before heading to the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
