The European owner approached Fitzroy directly to build his latest sailing yacht.

“It’s especially pleasing to have the client dealing with us exclusively and recognising our reputation for the care and quality we put into our relationships and of course our yachts” said Rodney Martin, Fitzroy Yachts Managing Director.

“We compete with companies often located close to the customer, so it’s credit to our New Zealand team that we’re known for being good to deal with and securing this deal when new-builds are scarce,” he added.

Fitzroy Yachts commissioned Dubois Naval Architects to design G50, with interior design and styling by the owner. Fitzroy have collaborated with Dubois on many of their boats including the international award-nominated 45m Salperton IV, and the recently launched 50metre Zefira.
